It’s been another busy month as I’m utilising the time without Belle full time to concentrate on Hailsham Stamp Club and other personal projects.
The theme for our ATC swap was Showtime set by our singer Annette. Once again I have received a lovely set of cards for my collection folder. Mine is on the left below. We know each others style so well now I can tell whose is whose without looking at the backs.
It was also Annette’s birthday this month, we make each member a birthday card and here’s the one I made for her. The background is done with Distress Oxide Wilted Violet and Worn Lipstick. The stamps are from Creative Stamping Issue 52 which was well used by a few of us.
Our them this month was Stamping on Printed Matter. I have an old Wordfinder dictionary which isn’t going to get used for purpose now we have Google at our fingertips so I have used pages from this book to make several cards. It seems like sacrilege to tear pages from any book but it gets easier after the first one.
One of my other projects is to decorate the room formally known as Lucy’s but now Belle’s as this is where the girls sleepover. Belle decided she wants a Disney Frozen theme which is fine but my dear Mother-in-Law won’t want to gaze at Elsa and Anna when she stays over so we’re keeping it subtle. Here she is wearing one of Granddads old Tshirts helping me paint the wall. The novelty wore off after ten minutes and I had to flatten the slodges she’d left but she did a pretty good job up to 3ft.
