It’s been two weeks since Isabella started school and I have been busy! The craft room has been overflowing with creations with an Autumnal feel.
The backgrounds for these cards were made using Distress Oxide inks. I chose 3 Autumnal colours and swooshed them onto my craft mat. I then spritzed with a water mister then swooshed white card onto the mat picking up the colours randomly. I love the unpredictability of this technique. The Oxides merge and blend creating beautiful backgrounds. I will never buy printed background papers again! The leaf stamps were from a free set on Creative Stamping magazine a few months ago and the Happy Birthday is a firm favourite of mine, I can’t remember who made it.
This month at Hailsham Stamp Club we are making Autumnal Artist Trading Coins which we will swap at club. I have to decide between these two sets which to swap. And finally I made this for a Bunting swap I’m in on Facebook. Again I made the background, this time with a gelli plate print.
