Hi, I’m Clare Cook and I live near the sea on South Coast of England. My main passions are Rubber Stamping, my beautiful Granddaughter Isabella and guinea pigs. This is my blog.
Background: I was lucky enough to work in a craft shop in London which was one of the first to bring Rubber Stamping to the UK. When we moved house to the South Coast I was able to open my own papercraft shop in Hailsham, East Sussex called Crafty Clare’s. During this exciting time I met many wonderful crafters, taught cardmaking workshops for adults and children and organised coach trips to the big stamping shows in London twice a year. I closed the shop in 2011 but still keep an online presence via social media. I continue to run the Hailsham Stamp Club where a group of 12+ rubber stampers meet once a month and use rubber stamping techniques and new products to create cards, gifts and home decor.
Aims: I take part in regular ATC, Inchie and Bunting swaps with Hailsham Stamp Club and am an active participant in the Facebook Group – UK Stampers Forum swaps and challenges. I will be sharing these projects here as well as writing back to basics, step by step tutorials for beginners and refreshers.
In 2014 my beautiful Granddaughter Isabella was born and my life changed forever. I was able to give up work to care for her so both her parents could work. Since she started school last September I don’t get to spend as much crafty time with her which is why I have recently changed the name of this blog from Nanny’s Craft Room, but when I do I will share it here!
I have kept Guinea Pigs for 30 years, I just can’t seem to live without them. I currently have two boys, Toby is very long haired and Toffee is a nervous but sweet natured.
